The painting above and the claywork below have been prepared for a May, 2008, exhibit
in the Commons gallery of Colorado Springs. This exhibit, "Women MUST Rise", is registered with the
national Feminist Art Project, FAP. It is an exciting exhibit with several local artists: myself, Sarah Milteer, Jocelyn
Nevel, Dina Wood, Audrey Gray, De Lane Bredvick.
Opening May 2, First Friday Event.

I don't do a lot of totally abstract work, though this first painting below sort of seems like it. I like it. "There
are Flowers." Sometimes things look messy because life is a fluxy creative process. Look closely and there are
beautiful things to experience......
The two below that, in blues, are paintings from a series, "Life WILL find a way." They were created for
the upcoming April exhibit. April 24 is EARTH DAY, and the April show has as it's theme, environmental
art, found objects, earth day.... "From the Earth". I like what is coming as I paint
from this space, and really do believe in the concept -- life DOES find ways, very creative, adapting, marvelous ways
to continue and become even more.
